Missions Ministry - Kiwanuka Family*Missionary Focus*
This week, please pray for Emma and Allen Kiwanuka and their two sons, Joshua and Joel. The Kiwanukas live and work in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, where Pastor Emma oversees Westminster Theological College, the Zana Community Presbyterian Church, and other important outreaches. He writes:

“The Lord has been good to us, and the semester is coming to a close on Friday of next week. We have much to thank God for regarding His goodness to us and the whole student body and church. There is much progress taking place compared to the past. It is a reminder that the Christian life is like that, too. We get better as the Holy Spirit does the work of sanctification in us to make us more like Jesus.
“Our family praises God for our youngest son having completed his Ordinary level National that will qualify him for the two years of high school. Joshua is progressing to his final year of high school next year. As I write Allen was called back to assist on the radio for a year, and we will wait to see what comes next. The College is growing, and so is the Seminary. We have more applications for the February intake than we have ever had in the history of the college. We have been pushed to build an additional dorm to be ready for the influx. As I write this email the roof is already in place.
“The Zana children’s school has grown tremendously, but we face many needy children enrolling in the school. Recently one of our kids’ caretakers was murdered by a relative; Christine, a 70-year-old grandmother who was taking care of her eight grandkids, is now dead, and these kids are in our school.”
PRAY:
1. that God will provide us with the funds to complete this dorm.
2. for our students as they go for their Christmas holidays, to be used by the Lord.
3. for resources to enable us to keep up with the growing numbers of our students. We need some multiple copies of required books for the courses offered.
4. for Christine’s grandkids. These are very poor kids. Sue Walson visited their home and knew Christine well; we are so shocked at her death.
5. for the Presbyterian Church of Uganda as we continue to structure the denomination for better services.
