Welcome

If you are new to our church, or just getting to know us through our website, we are delighted to help you get acquainted with us. ACPC is an extended family of people seeking to be Christ's disciples and to bear his truth into our world. That commitment is expressed in our vision — that we exist to advance God's Kingdom and build Christ’s church through the Gospel that redeems and changes lives.

So if you're brand new to the Christian faith—perhaps, just trying to figure out what it's all about, or if you've been a follower of Christ for some time, let us introduce you to our community. In worship, disciple-making, children's and youth programs, outreach and missions, and in just having fun together, we would like to provide you with a church home, a place to come and see, to belong, to serve.

What is ACPC’s particular identity within the body of Christ?

Who do we long to be as the people of God?

Our Congregation

Our congregation is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). The PCA was founded in 1973 in response to the need for a scriptural, evangelical, and reformed witness to Christ. It has established as its top priorities to be biblical in both its government and doctrine and committed to evangelism, Christian education, and equipping Christians for ministry.

Church Government

The Constitution of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), which is subject to and subordinate to the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the inerrant Word Of God, consists of its doctrinal standards set forth in the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with the Westminster Larger Catechism, the Westminster Shorter Catechism, and the Book of Church Order.

ACPC functions under the Presbyterian, or representative form of church government. We recognize two ordained offices: elders and deacons.
Churches are led and overseen by two types of elders: teaching elders (ordained pastors) and ruling elders. The heart of the elder's ministry of leadership is to shepherd the people whom God has entrusted into his care by caring for, loving, and spiritually equipping them. The elders are elected by the congregation. The senior pastor, assistant pastor, and ruling elders comprise the Session and are responsible for the governance and spiritual oversight of the church.
Ordained deacons are called to a ministry of mercy and to meet the physical and practical needs of the people in the church.
